Eve Hewson joins cast of new Spielberg movie
Irish actress Eve Hewson has joined the cast of Steven Spielberg’s new movie, Disclosure Day.
The new sci-fi film, which will be the director’s first in four years, also stars Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, and Colman Domingo and is based on a story by Spielberg, with a screenplay is by David Koepp, whose previous work with Spielberg includes the scripts for Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
The tagline for Disclosure Day is: “If you found out we weren’t alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you? This summer, the truth belongs to seven billion people.
“We are coming close to … Disclosure Day.”
Hewson, who is the second eldest daughter of U2 front man Bono and Ali Hewson, has previously starred in TV series Bad Sisters, and movies including Flora and Son and, more recently, Jay Kelly.
Details of her role in Disclosure Day have yet to be announced.
Three-time Academy Award winner, Steven Spielberg is one of the most successful and influential filmmakers in history and Is the top-grossing director of all time, with movies such as Jaws, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, the Indiana Jones franchise and Jurassic Park.
His most recent film, The Fabelmans, was released in 2022 and received seven Academy Award nominations.
