Naturally, his collaboration with Edgar Wright for The Running Man is the fourth overall collaboration between the music composer and the director. Being one of the best, the soundtrack of The Running Man can tell us a lot about what the movie will be like.
What the Soundtrack of The Running Man Tells Us About Edgar Wright’s Movie

Based on Stephen King’s 1982 novel and loosely based on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 1987 movie of the same name, The Running Man is set in a dystopian world where the powers control the media.
A construction worker takes part in a twisted game where he has to compete and survive against assassins in order to win a grand sum of money. Although the premise is very grim, Edgar Wright’s love for pop songs and ’70s music makes it a unique blend of depressed optimism.
Almost like an irony, the soundtrack is quite dramatic, sometimes mellow, inspiring, moody, fast-paced, and everything that you would expect from an Edgar Wright movie.
