Hallmark’s 2025 ‘Countdown to Christmas’ kicks off with 16 new movies & fan favorites returning
HALLMARK’S 2025 Countdown to Christmas is launching with 16 brand-new festive films and returning fan favorites.
The network’s beloved holiday tradition is back – and this year it’s bigger than ever.


Kicking off in early November, Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas 2025 will deliver a sleigh full of festive cheer with 16 brand-new original movies premiering across Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
Viewers can also look forward to the return of fan-favourite stars, including Lacey Chabert, Andrew Walker, and Nikki DeLoach, alongside a few exciting new faces joining the Hallmark family this season.
From heartwarming small-town love stories to snow-dusted family reunions, this year’s lineup promises all the twinkling lights, cozy cocoa moments, and tear-jerking happy endings that fans have come to adore.
Highlights include Grey’s Anatomy alum Sarah Drew, who kicks off the 2026 countdown with the linear TV premiere of “Mistletoe Murders.”
The festive mystery series, which first aired on Hallmark+, sees Drew play a Christmas shop owner who teams up with a local detective to solve small-town crimes – all with a holly-jolly twist.
Other familiar faces are back too – including Robert Buckley in “Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper!”, where a hometown visit leads a TV weatherman to rekindle sparks with an old classmate.
Rachel Boston stars in “The More The Merrier,” while The O.C.’s Autumn Reeser teams up with Niall Matter in “We Met in December”.
Hallmark favourite Lacey Chabert fronts “She’s Making a List”, playing a consultant who helps decide which kids make the Naughty or Nice list – until she falls for a widowed dad.
And British screen icon Jane Seymour joins Mae Whitman for “Twelve Dates ‘Til Christmas”, promising plenty of festive charm and a dash of romance.
