Filmmaker Milap Zaveri’s Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa has turned out to be a huge box office hit earning over Rs 52 crore at the domestic box office in seven days and around Rs 70 crore globally.

The movie that was made on a limited budget of just Rs 25 crore, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is now expected to hit Rs 100 crore at the worldwide box office by the end of its run.

This makes the intense romantic musical only the seventh clean box office hit in Hindi in the year 2025.

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat Becomes 7th Clean Box Office Hit in Hindi Cinema

According to a report in Box Office India, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is now the seventh movie to become a big success in Hindi.

Out of the seven clean box office hits of the year, six belong to Hindi cinema and one is from the south, Kannada film industry to be specific.

• Chhaava – Rs 555 crore

• Raid 2 – Rs 178.08 crore

• Sitaare Zameen Par – Rs 165.67 crore

• Saiyaara – Rs 337.78 crore

• Mahavatar Narsimha – Rs 182.83 crore

• Kantara Chapter 1 (Hindi Dubbed) – Rs 205.56 crore (Rs 220 crore lifetime expected)

• Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat – Rs 52.38 crore (Rs 80 crore lifetime expected)

While the aforementioned films are, so far, only the seven clean box office hits in Hindi, there are other movies as well which found success. These include The Diplomat, Jaat, Kesari Chapter 2, Housefull 5, Metro… In Dino and Jolly LLB 3.

Upcoming Hindi Films Expected To Rock The Box Office

In the last two months of 2025, there are some interesting Hindi films that are expected to work at the box office. These include the likes of De De Pyaar De 2, Haq, Mastiii 4, Tere Ishk Mein, Dhurandhar and Alpha.
