This September, a diverse range of films are set to hit the screens, promising something for everyone.
From anticipated sequels and adaptations to intriguing originals, here are 11 Hollywood movies you can’t afford to miss this September.
‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,’ ‘The Front Room’
Kicking off the month, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will hit theaters on September 6.
This sequel to the 1988 classic sees the return of Michael Keaton as the mischievous ghost, Beetlejuice, who is summoned by Astrid, the daughter of Lydia (Winona Ryder).
The same day, The Front Room will also make its debut. This film explores the tense relationship between a pregnant woman and her intrusive mother-in-law.
The film is yet to get an Indian release date.
‘My Old Ass,’ ‘Uglies,’ and ‘Speak No Evil’
On September 13, My Old Ass will premiere in the US. This coming-of-age comedy-drama follows Elliott, who embarks on a hallucinogenic trip with her friends before college, leading to a profound encounter with her future self.
The same day, Uglies, a dystopian young adult film about a society obsessed with physical perfection, will be available on Netflix globally.
Meanwhile, James McAvoy‘s horror-thriller Speak No Evil will hit theaters.
‘His Three Daughters’ and ‘Killer Heat’
On September 20, Netflix will release His Three Daughters. This emotional drama features Elizabeth Olsen and follows the story of three adult sisters who unite to care for their dying father.
Later in the week, on September 26, Killer Heat will be available on Amazon Prime Video. This noir thriller revolves around a private detective investigating a suspicious death in Greece.
‘Wolfs,’ ‘Lee,’ ‘Megalopolis,’ and ‘Never Let Go’
Wrapping up the month on September 27, Apple TV will premiere Wolfs, a crime thriller starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt as professional fixers forced to collaborate.
Also releasing are Kate Winslet‘s Lee, a biographical drama about model-turned-war correspondent Lee Miller; Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis, a dystopian drama set in the City of New Rome; and Never Let Go, a psychological thriller about a mother and her twin sons struggling to survive in a world overrun by evil.
