‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves’ Filmmakers Will Work on Margot Robbie’s ‘Monopoly’ Live-Action
Barbie‘s success proved that adapting toys and games to the big screen is a done deal. Margot Robbie herself isn’t backing down from bringing more live-actions like Barbie to the screen, with her production company’s next bet being a Monopoly movie. Although it was still uncertain how long it would take for the film to get made, an update from last week offered us high hopes for production to commence soon. According to a recent report, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves‘ creatives John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein have been appointed to write the script. Details about the adaptation of Hasbro’s iconic board game remain a mystery, but given that the duo is attached to work on the screenplay, we can likely expect a lot of action, adventure, and unpredictable twists. Here is what Lionsgate’s Erin Westerman shared about Daley and Goldstein’s involvement:
“We knew LuckyChap would be a beacon for the best talent in town, and Lionsgate & Hasbro are thrilled that Goldstein & Daley have decided to join the fun. We’ve been long-time admirers of their work—telling bold, original, intelligent stories for all audiences. They are the perfect architects for this franchise.”

Charli XCX Is in Talks to Play the Witch in Greta Gerwig’s ‘Narnia’ Adaptation
Finding the right actors to play fan-favorite roles is a bit of a challenge, especially when it comes to C.S. Lewis‘ best-selling book series, The Chronicles of Narnia. Greta Gerwig is currently adapting a novel from the series, and insiders have shared that she is considering a Grammy winner to play a key character in her film. Charli XCX is reportedly in talks to star as Jadis, the White Witch who was previously played by Tilda Swinton in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Although nothing has been set in stone, the singer seems to be among the top picks to portray the character on screen. Gerwig’s film will be made for Netflix, with a limited theatrical release scheduled for Thanksgiving 2026.

The ‘Peaky Blinders’ Movie Will Have a Theatrical Release Before Landing on Netflix
Cillian Murphy will reprise his Peaky Blinders character in an upcoming film, which just received a major update. According to director Steven Knight in a recent interview with The Playlist, the Netflix original will first premiere in theaters before landing on the streaming platform. Given the OG series’ popularity, Knight commented on the importance of providing a communal viewing experience for fans with the upcoming movie.
“I really want them to be watching this all together in one building because the communication has all been virtual, which is fine. But I do want this to be in cinemas so that people can sit there together and watch this thing happen.”
The Immortal Man, the project’s official title, will also star Barry Keoghan, Rebecca Ferguson, and Tim Roth. Even though the Peaky Blinders follow-up has yet to divulge its release date, it is exciting to know that audiences will be able to watch it on the big screen before its arrival on Netflix.

‘The Accountant’ Director Confirms Plan for Trilogy Ahead of the Sequel’s Release
SXSW is currently being held in Austin, Texas and Collider has been hosting several interviews with cast and crew from films playing at the festival. One of the major releases coming out of SXSW is The Accountant 2, the sequel to Ben Affleck‘s action thriller. During an interview with Collider’s own Steve Weintraub, director Gavin O’Connor teased his plans for making a third film in advance of the second installment’s theatrical release.
“There’s always been three. Since post-production, since I started editing the first one. I didn’t know Bill [Dubuque]. We met on the first movie. I got the script from Lynette Howell Taylor, and then from the script that I initially got, I started working with Bill. I think any filmmaker’s going to do it. You get a script, you respond to it. How does it affect you personally? But then you keep climbing inside of it. It becomes your own aesthetic and sensibility.”
The Accountant 2 will follow Christian Wolff (Affleck) as he embarks on a mission to solve a Treasury chief’s murder alongside his estranged brother (played by Jon Bernthal). The sequel will premiere on the big screen on April 25, and according to Nate Richard‘s review out of SXSW, it “finds an even balance between the action and the drama.”
