Peter Andre has revealed that he and the team are already working on a sequel to his controversial movie Jafaican. The singer appears in the new movie, directed by Fredi Nwaka.

The film follows the story of a small time crook called Gazza, who needs £35,000 quickly to pay for his nan’s care. He decides to impersonate a mob boss Denton ‘Kill Man’ Powell, which sees him wear a fake dreadlock wig and put on a Jamaican accent.

However, the film has caused some controversy amongst social media users and was labelled “tone-deaf” by some viewers, whilst the film has also garnered positive reviews since it was unveiled.

During a chat on This Morning, Peter and Fredi discussed the new movie. Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary quizzed the pair about the comments on cultural appropriation as Alison joked about her own acting skills.

“You did that so well that you should act in the sequel! We are already starting to work on a sequel to this – a different country, and different characters,” Peter then said as he revealed their plans

Previously, Peter discussed the criticism of the movie. He said: “I think it’s very easy to criticise something based on a trailer. I would say: ‘Go and watch the film first,’ you will see what the film is about and you will see the context A critic should also be able to criticise, so I understand how it is … In regards to critics, I think it is really important for people to all have different opinions.

“I don’t think it is right to just expect everyone to like what you’re doing, but I’ve always said that, you know, in anything I’ve ever done I’ve always had people saying: ‘Don’t do that, you shouldn’t do that, that’s not the right song to release, that’s not a good video clip.”

He added: “If I sat and listened to everybody telling me what not to do, I would never have achieved anything! I think sometimes you have to just go outside of your comfort zone and push yourself.”

Peter also recently spoke about his friend Alison Hammond and her weight loss. He said in his column: “Alison Hammond is looking amazing and she’s spoken about not using weight-loss jabs.

“She obviously feels fantastic and I don’t think it’s anyone else’s business when it comes to the injections – we shouldn’t force people into discussing it.

“I don’t know why we think everyone must say what they did or didn’t do. Alison is a good friend who has put the work in and done it the hard way, which is impressive. But I’d never judge anyone for taking the injections – it’s none of my business.”

During his appearance on This Morning, Alison said she loved the movie and so did a lot of her Jamaican family.
