Stree 2 starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, directed by Amar Kaushik and written by Niren Bhatt seems to be on a rampage from the day of its release. The film entered the Top 10 list of Hindi Cinema’s biggest hits in less than two weeks, and has now dethroned Hollywood biggies from the list of highest grossing films in India.

After minting Rs 291.65 in its first week, Stree 2 minted Rs 17.5 crore on 2nd Friday, on second saturday the collections jumped to Rs 33 crore, and on Sunday, it collected Rs 42.4 crore, and on Monday the numbers reached Rs 17 crore as per early estimates by Sacnilk, taking the overall collection of the film to Rs 401.55 crore.
With this collection, Stree 2 has beaten the lifetime collection of not only Dangal ( Rs 374.43) and Sanju ( Rs 342.57) but has beaten the numbers of Hollywood blockbusters like Avatar- The Way of Water and Avengers : Endgame. These two films have been the biggest Hollywood films in the country. Avengers : Endgame across all languages had minted Rs 373 crore during its release in 2019 and Avatar- The Way of Water had collected Rs 391.4 crore in 2022.
The run for Stree 2 is far from over, and it is now aiming for a spot in the Rs 500 crore club which till now has only 8 films like Gadar 2, Pathaan, Jawan, RRR, Baahubali 2, Animal, Kalki 2 and KGF 2.
