It’s no secret that Beyoncé is incredibly private when it comes to showing her three-year-old twins Sir and Rumi Carter and daughter Blue Ivy, eight, on her social media.
But to fans’ delight, their stylist (yes, the kids have a stylist) and family friend Manuel A. Mendez shared a rare behind the scenes look at Queen Bey with Sir while filming her visual album Black is King.
In the Instagram video, Beyoncé can be seen dancing with her son at home while Sir looks heart-meltingly dapper in a pastel blue Giorgio Armani suit and a rainbow unicorn horn headband.
Why Beyoncé’s love letter to black beauty in her ‘Black Is King’ virtual album is SO important
The caption reads: “Sir Carter flooded in a @giorgioarmani suit In Black Is king pure ice (ice). I’m so grateful for every opportunity @beyonce (The Carter Family) has give me throughout the years. You trust me with your most precious jewels, your children. I love you, and I love the kids more, Thank you. #blackisking #style June 13th 2020
To all sons and daughters.
The sun and the moon bows for you.
You are the key to the kingdom.
“Elegance is not about being noticed it’s about being remembered—Giorgio Armani””.
Beyoncé, who gave birth to her twins in 2017, dedicated Black is King to her son, using the same wording that Mendez shared in his heartfelt Instagram post: “And to all our sons and daughters, the sun and the moon bow for you. You are the keys to the kingdom.”
Black is King was released on 31st July and features Sir and his mum alongside his twin sister Rumi, big sister Blue, dad Jay Z and grandmother Tina Lawson. Other celebrity appearances include Naomi Campbell, Lupita Nyong’o and Kelly Rowland. It’s available to stream on Disney+.
