It all began at Coachella. At least, that’s how the new romantic comedy The Idea of You goes, which stars Nicholas Galitzine and Oscar winner Anne Hathaway.
Based on Robinne Lee’s 2017 bestselling novel of the same name, Hathaway stars as Solène Marchand, a single mom who meets Galitzine’s Hayes Campbell at the annual music fest in Indio. But as it turns out, Campbell isn’t your typical 24-year-old, but the frontman for the One Direction-like August Moon, a.k.a. “the hottest boy band on the planet,” according to the film’s description.
“Honestly, it happened so organically,” Galitzine told Rolling Stone about working with Hathaway on The Idea of You. “I don’t ever remember a moment where I felt intimidated. The chemistry test went so well. And I think sometimes someone’s had such a huge body of work like Annie, you don’t expect them to necessarily be as collaborative or open because they have a procedure of doing things. But her ability to play and go along with the bit was just something I hadn’t expected. She’s very ‘Yes, and?’ which I love. And I think that works very much in line with how I like to work too.”
