Nicole Kidman, De Facto President of AMC Theaters, likes to go to the movies just like everyone else — but unlike everyone else, she’s the face of an entire movie theater chain.
And so she likes to hide that face whenever she saunters in, out of the rain to laugh, to cry…to care. Because dammit, she needs that, too.
At the premiere of season 2 of Special Ops: Lioness, the Oscar-winner described how she would unwind after filming tough scenes by going to the movies in Fort Worth, Tex., and her reaction to seeing her viral ad.
“I go to an AMC and I sit there and I hide my face when I come on screen,” Kidman told Entertainment Tonight. “I even sent the head of AMC, Adam [Aron], a message that the AMC right there in Fort Worth is perfection.”
Someone give this woman a raise because she’s literally always working. One must wonder, though, if Nicole Kidman, whenever she goes to the movies, is contractually obligated to only ever go to an AMC. Then again, think of the scandal that would arise if she were caught in a sequined pantsuit at an Alamo Drafthouse?
At the same premiere, Kidman more or less confirmed that another iconic ad is finally in the works, after Variety reported back in February that three new ads would premiere the following month. The original ad premiered a lifetime ago in September 2021.

“Maybe, yes,” Kidman told E! News of a possible sequel, but she maintained that Aron would be the person to talk to about that.
“We’re in the making,” she added. “I’m using a Practical Magic term: There’s things brewing.”
A new AMC ad, a Practical Magic reference, Harris Dickinson as a dom top. Nikki Kids is really giving the people, namely the gays, what they want.
