This weekend’s new movies on VOD include director Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two, along with Sydney Sweeney’s newest film Immaculate, in which she plays a pregnant nun.
And in In The Land of Saints and Sinners, Liam Neeson joins up with several other great Irish actors, including Kerry Condon, Ciarán Hinds, and Jack Gleeson for this 1970s-set action thriller. Neeson plays Finbar, a man with, yes, a particular set of skills, thanks to his past life as a contract killer, who finds himself battling a group of terrorists who have been hiding out in his remote seaside town and wreaking havoc on the locals.
These are just a few of the films that are available to watch on Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, YouTube, and through your cable service this week. Check out what movies are available to buy or rent on demand now.
Dune: Part Two is the second half of the story of Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet), as he plans to finish the war against the House Harkkonen on the planet Arrakis. Returning for the sequel are Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, and Josh Brolin, and this film welcomes some new faces too, including Austin Butler and Florence Pugh.
Sydney Sweeney stars in Immaculate, the story of a young nun named Cecilia who is brought to an Italian convent where nefarious things continue to happen to the nuns that live there. Soon, Cecelia becomes pregnant, and is told that she immaculately conceived the child, but as she grows less trusting of everyone around her, she tries to escape.
