Echo Valley, the “edge-of-your-seat” thriller starring Sydney Sweeney, is now available to stream.

The film follows Kate (Julianne Moore) and her daughter, Claire (Sweeney), in a moment of crisis as the latter unexpectedly shows up drenched in blood. After discovering that the blood belongs to somebody else, Kate makes a decision to protect her daughter at all costs.

Boasting a stacked supporting cast including Domhnall Gleeson and Fiona Shaw, the highly-anticipated Echo Valley is now available worldwide, with the thriller being released on Apple TV+ today (13 June).

Written by Brad Inglesby and directed by Michael Pearce, the thriller is described as an “edge-of-your-seat” and “gripping” tale which touches upon themes of “love, sacrifice and survival”.

Co-starring Kyle MacLachlan and Edmund Donovan, the thriller has received mixed reviews from critics thus far, with the film currently possessing an approval rating of 57% on Rotten Tomatoes from 28 reviews.

You can read a selection of reviews below:

“Claire’s complex mother-daughter relationship with Kate – strained well beyond breaking point, yet still determinedly, impossibly unsnapped – is deftly handled by both actresses.”

“After an intriguing opening, the convoluted narrative doesn’t merely jump the shark but lies down and lets the shark jump over it before the pair of them charleston their way across the rolling Pennsylvanian farmland where the film is supposed to be set.”

“In the well-cast if frequently illogical offering from Apple TV+, Moore slyly elevates what could have been a routine protective-mama drama.”

“A story that might have been benefited by being allowed to breathe over a six-episode arc instead feels rushed and schematic rather than lived-in.”

“Opting to embrace an increasingly soapy and sordid crime saga at the exact moment when it should be growing closer to its characters, the movie fatally diverts its attention from the unconditional love between them.”

“The film’s intimate scope – emotional betrayals provide the real thrills here – as well as its melancholic atmosphere and solid performances make this a satisfying streamer option.”

Echo Valley is streaming on Apple TV+ now.
