The upcoming third entry in the Venom movie franchise, Venom: The Last Dance, will follow its title and be the final entry in the symbiote story.
Speaking to Deadline, Sony Pictures chairman and CEO Tim Rothman briefly mentioned the upcoming movie while discussing the company’s slate of movies in the future, and essentially confirmed that the upcoming third film would end the Venom franchise.
“The third and last Venom, is going to be huge,” said Rothman.
The upcoming third film in the Tom Hardy-led Venom franchise is set to release on October 25, 2024.
What do we know about Venom: The Last Dance?
Currently, not a whole lot is definitively known about the upcoming film. Alongside Hardy returning for the film, Venom: The Last Dance will also feature Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor, although it’s unclear exactly what their roles will be in the upcoming movie.
The Last Dance marks the feature directorial debut of Kelly Marcel, who wrote screenplays for the first two films. The third installment will once again feature the Mad Max: Fury Road star in his dual role as Eddie Brock and the titular symbiote.
It is produced by Hardy and Marcel. Marcel wrote the script from a story she co-created with Hardy. Additional producers include Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and Hutch Parker.
