We were blessed with a number of trailers for new movies and TV shows over the weekend and into today. Let’s start with the trailer for the back half of Bridgerton season 3, where Penelope and Colin will continue their steamy period romance. Bridgerton has become one of the biggest shows on Netflix thanks to juicy drama, beautiful costumes, and lots of steamy plot twists. That will continue in the final four episodes of season 3, as Penelope tries to hide from her new fiancee the fact that she is Lady Whistledown, a gossip writer who keeps the well-dressed cast of this show informed on all the latest goings-on in high society.
Honesty is best policy, but we have four episodes to fill, so it may take Penelope and Colin a minute to figure that out. The final four episodes of Bridgerton season 3 will drop on Netflix on June 13.
Shifting gears suddenly and completely, Sony dropped a new trailer for the third and final Venom movie starring Tom Hardy: Venom: The Last Dance will find Eddie Brock and his bloodthirsty alien symbiote on the run from the U.S. government, which for some reason is interested in a super-strong extraterrestrial being attaching itself to a human and giving them superpowers. To make matters more complicated, other aliens from Venom’s homeworld also find their way to Earth, and if they’re anything like Venom, that’s going to suck for us. Venom: The Last Dance comes out on October 25.
Switching back to Netflix, the streamer dropped the first teaser for Tomb Raider: The Lend of Lara Croft, an animated series based on the venerated video game franchise. Watch Lara make archeology look good below:
Tome Radier: The Ledend of Lara Croft drops on Netflix on October 10. And by the way, this series has nothing to do with the live-action Tomb Raider show that Phoebe Waller-Bridge is developing for Netflix. It’s a good old-fashioned IP burst, not unlike the different Lord of the Rings projects currently in development at different studios.
As long as we’re here, we might as well also highlight the first trailer for Moana 2, which set a record as the most-watched trailer in the history of Disney and Pixar animation. Watch below:
The sequel to the popular animated Disney musical comes out on November 27.
