In the animated film we see demigod Maui transform into a giant hawk, an iguana, a beetle, a fish, a shark, and even a whale with the help of his magical fish hook.

Although the live action version of the film uses actors, it also makes use of Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI) which means we get a see Maui change from human to bird form as he jumps off a cliff.

He’s played by Dwayne Johnson, the same actor who voiced him in the animation but we don’t get a good look him in his human form.
