The highly anticipated Twisters movie is here, and it has nostalgic vibes for fans of the 1996 hit starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton. While there is no replacing the original (and this is technically a sequel, not a remake), we’re certainly happy that Glen Powell is giving it a try.
The new movie, in theaters now, focuses on a team of storm chasers in Oklahoma (if you haven’t gotten tickets yet, go ahead and order them now). While it promises a disaster-based thrill ride, Twisters is getting attention for another reason: Its incredible soundtrack. The track list is basically a who’s who of country music stars today. We’re talking Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Thomas Rhett, Shania Twain…the list goes on and on—for 29 songs!
Note: Chris Stapleton’s song “Arkansas” is featured in Twisters but is not included on the official soundtrack.
