Fans of The Gentlemen are happy to know Netflix has debuted a new TV series expanding The Gentlemen‘s story and its universe. The series was written by Guy Ritchie himself and acts as a sequel to the movie. The show follows a new protagonist in the form of Eddie Halstead who inherits his father’s sizable estate only to discover that it sits on top of Mickey Pearson’s weed empire, setting Eddie up with the opportunity to enter into the dark criminal underbelly of England in a big way.

The Gentlemen TV series does feature another star-studded ensemble with the likes of Theo James, Kaya Scodelario, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Daniel Ings, Freddie Fox, Peter Serafinowicz, and Giancarlo Esposito. The show received solid reviews and one strong aspect is, like the movie, the soundtrack. British rapper Bugzy Malone makes his acting debut in the movie as Ernie, one of the fighters at Coach’s (Colin Farrell) gym. He also contributes to The Gentlemen soundtrack with the original track “Boxes of Bush” which features lines of dialogue from the movie itself.

Clearly, it was a positive collaboration, as Bugzy Malone appears in Guy Ritchie’s 2023 movie Operation Fortune.
