IP Singh Addresses the Lukewarm Response to the Music Album

When asked about the music album’s lukewarm response, Singh remained optimistic. “I think right now, the film should be given precedence. Music is an integral part of the film, but I’m sure people will pay attention to it eventually. We make music with love and hope that people connect with it. For now, the most important thing is that people like the story. Hopefully, they will also start talking about the music.”

Singh also shared his experience of collaborating with Swanand Kirkire for the song ‘Lutt Putt Gaya’ in the film Dunki. IP Singh on Writing for Shah Rukh Khan

Writing a song for Shah Rukh Khan was a highlight for Singh. “The best part of my experience was seeing SRK shooting and dancing to the song I wrote. IP Singh Speaks on Crediting Original Artists

Singh also addressed the issue of veteran singers and composers not being credited for recreated iconic songs. He believes in the importance of giving credit where it’s due. “Maybe we should credit them more,” he said. “I’m sure that no one is just doing this for publicity because all the people are known, and they have iconic songs. So, I feel that if someone feels this way they should be talked to and they should be pacified and included in the process. There’s nothing wrong with including people when you are recreating something that they’ve been part of. So yeah, I think there should be an open conversation about what is being done that is getting re-created.”
