Ravi Teja’s latest film, ‘Mr. Bachchan‘, has hit theatres. The film, directed by Harish Shankar, was released yesterday evening, but the initial reports and reactions have not been ideal. Earlier prior to the release of the film, when one of its songs, “Sitar,” which features Ravi Teja and the young actress Bhagyasri Borse got out, netizens on social media criticised the makers for some visuals.
In the song, the 56-year-old Ravi Teja shares romantic scenes with 25-year-old Bhagyasri Borse, in lively dance sequences. While the visuals and the catchy dance steps have been praised by some, certain scenes have sparked criticism. It involves a dance move where Ravi Teja places his hands in Borse’s pockets from behind her lehenga, which many have found inappropriate.
The choreography for the song was crafted by Sekhar Master, a well-known dance choreographer. Recently the makers had organized a success party as per a 123Telugu report where director Harish addressed it.During the event, director Harish Shankar was questioned about the controversial dance move. He explained that the step was filmed on the very first day of shooting. He acknowledged that while the move might not seem problematic within the context of the entire dance sequence, it could appear inappropriate when seen in still images or short clips.
He added, “When Sekhar Master composed that step, I felt it wasn’t encouraging. But he might feel low if I suggest some changes on the very first day of the shoot. I was busy setting up everything. Still, I felt it wasn’t necessary. But as it happens in a flow, it passed the censorship too.”

As ‘Mr. Bachchan’ continues its run in theatres, the film’s reception remains mixed. The film is a Telugu adaptation of the Hindi film, ‘Raid’.
The movie features Ravi Teja, Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead and Jagapathi Babu playing the main antagonist.
