Lubber Pandhu starring Harish Kalyan and Attakathi Dinesh in the lead is a Tamil language sports drama, written and directed by debutant Tamizharasan Pachamuthu. The movie released in theaters on September 20, 2024 to a rave response, and this film is now all set for a digital premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar streaming platform.

Lubber Pandhu‘s OTT release date is November 1, 2024 (Friday). While an official announcement on the same is however awaited, it is said that Lubber Pandhu‘s OTT premiere is set in accordance with the Disney Plus Hotstar-Jio Cinema merger which is taking place this month i.e. October end, as a result of the Star-Viacom 18 groups’ merger. 

Outside India, Lubber Pandhu was previously scheduled to stream on Simply South and Tentkotta streaming platfroms from October 18. Owing to the digital terms that the movie has to stream on Disney Plus Hotstar first, Lubber Pandhu’s OTT release outside India has also been officially postponed.  

Since Lubber Pandhu is still performing exceptionally well in theaters, we are postponing its streaming release. The new streaming date will be announced later on our social media handles.

A Prince Pictures production, Lubber Pandhu follows the rivalry between two cricketers in a rural setting, and explores their personal and professional challenges, testing both their skills and emotions. The movie has Sean Roldan for music and also stars Swasika, Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, Kaali Venkat, Devadharshini, Bala Saravanan, among others.
