Kajol is gearing up for her next mythological horror film, Maa. The trailer has been released recently and it received an immense positive response. And today, the makers have shared the first song, Humnava, which beautifully captures the bond of Kajol and her daughter. Shreya Ghosal’s voice has just added more beauty.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Kajol shared the song video and wrote, “A song for the one who means everything, your #Humnava” The video opens with Kajol and her daughter getting ready for the journey. The stop by many shops and collected memories. Fans also dropped heart emojis in the comment section.

The trailer for Maa offers a chilling glimpse into the upcoming horror thriller. It opens with Kajol’s character driving down a dark road with her child when suddenly, a dead body crashes into their vehicle. Later, Kajol takes her daughter to an old mansion, warning her not to wander off without permission. But curiosity gets the better of the daughter, who asks another girl living there to show her a locked-off area of the house.

Kajol’s character, representing the same will and protectiveness of Mother Nature, harnesses supernatural forces to save her daughter. Directed by Vishal Furia, the film cast Ronit Roy, Indranil Sengupta, Kherin Sharma and Kajol in lead roles.

During a recent chat with R Madhavan, Kajol revealed that she wanted to do this film because of Maa Kali and her faith in the goddess. She believes that Goddess Kali is always behind her, and hence it became one of the reasons why she went for the film. “Of course the script was excellent. When we first heard the script, we were sure it was going to be a fantastic film,” she further added. Maa is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 27.
