Kanguva: A Mighty Valiant Saga is an upcoming fantasy action that stars Suriya in dual roles of ‘Kanga’ and ‘Francis “Frankie” Theodre’. Bollywood actor Bobby Deol appears as a villain in the period era of the story, while Disha Patani appears as the female lead in the present day timeline. For a while now, it has been buzzed that actor and Suriya’s younger brother Karthi makes a cameo appearance in the climax of Kanguva. 

It is said that Karthi’s special appearance will give the lead to Kanguva: Part 2, which will star both Suriya and Karthi. Back in July, 2024 lyricist Viveka who has worked on Kanguva songs confirmed Karthi’s cameo in the movie, though he did not reveal any details of the cameo or the Kanguva sequel. 

However director Siva, who has written and directed Kanguva, and has worked with Karthi before, has not been shy of hinting a sequel during the current promotions of Kanguva. This lead to an audience member raise the question of Karthi’s presence in Kanguva, and Suriya has responded thus to the same:

“Why want to spoil a surprise in the theaters sir? We’ll see..Let’s see if Karthi’s there or another actor is there. So many things can happen in the screen. Let’s wait for the theatrical experience.”

Kanguva releases in theaters on November 14, 2024 in 3D and other formats. The movie is a joint production venture of UV Creations and Studio Green, and has Devi Sri Prasad for music. Kanguva‘s audio launch event will take place on October 26, 2024 (Saturday) at Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai.
