Wicked movie confirms soundtrack song list, New stars include Sharon D Clarke & Courtney Mae-Briggs

The major new movie version of Wicked has announced the song list for the movie’s soundtrack.

The soundtrack will be released on the same day as the movie – 22 November 2024.

The album will feature the show’s famous songs including “Defying Gravity,” “Popular,” “Dancing Through Life,” “The Wizard And I” and more, and is available to pre-order.

Tickets for the movie go on sale today in the US, and sometime soon for the UK.

The Wicked film adaptation stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda, alongside Jonathan Bailey (Richard II) as Fiyero, Ethan Slater as Boq, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, and Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard.

The cast also includes Andy Nyman (Hello, Dolly!, The Producers) as Governor Thropp, Marissa Bode as Nessarose, Bowen Yang as Pfannee, Bronwyn James as ShenShen, Keala Settle (Fly More Than You Fall) as Miss Coddle, Aaron Teoh as Avaric, Michael Carmichael as Nikidik and Peter Dinklage as Dr. Dillamond.

Surprisingly, from the soundtrack listing the movie will also feature British stage and screens stars Sharon D Clarke (The Importance of Being Earnest, Death of a Salesman), and Courtney Mae-Briggs (Back to the Future, Hamilton).
