Attack on Titan Gets Improved Finale Anime Film Release Date & First Trailer

The finale of the massively popular Attack on Titan anime series will receive a theatrical version with improved cuts and sound, announcing its triumphant return with a new visual, trailer and release date.




Via the Attack on Titan anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS will receive a theatrical version in Japan on Nov. 8, 2024. Titled Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS: THE LAST ATTACK, the feature film will be 145 minutes long and feature 5.1ch surround sound. However, perhaps most significant of all, it will feature improved cuts from the original version. Yuichiro Hayashi will reprise his role as director for the upcoming Attack on Titan finale film and is rejoined by Hiroshi Seko (series composition) and Tomohiro Kishi (character design). Kohta Yamamoto, who oversaw much of the anime’s music, voiced an excited message via X, adding, “I’m looking forward to seeing it on the big screen and with the right sound system in place!” To commemorate the release of THE LAST ATTACK, the entire anime series will be streamed online in Japan.


Attack on Titan Also Continues to Receive Brand-New Releases in the Franchise

The new film follows the beta release of Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable in July, which went #1 on the Meta marketplace. Last month, Attack on Titan also received a trailer for a new immersive experience: “Declaration of War,” introducing 3D renditions of the series’ unique world. The Attack on Titan anime adapts the original manga series by Hajime Isayama, sitting alongside titles like My Hero Academia as manga with over 100 million copies in circulation.
