The first trailer for Kit Harington‘s new horror movie The Beast Within has been unveiled.
The upcoming film centres on 10-year-old Willow (Caoilinn Springall), who follows her parents to the middle of an ancient forest during one of their secret late-night walks after a series of strange events make her question their isolated life in the English wilds (via Entertainment Weekly).
The official synopsis continues: “But upon witnessing her father (Harington) undergo a terrible transformation, she too becomes ensnared by the dark ancestral secret they’ve tried so desperately to conceal.”

The trailer opens with Harington’s character light-heartedly proclaiming himself king of the woods and his daughter the princess, though the literalness of his statement soon becomes clear after Willow sees him transform into a deadly werewolf during a full moon.
Although Willow’s mother (Ashleigh Cummings) worries for her safety as her husband’s rage becomes increasingly harder to control, the end of the trailer reveals that Willow takes after her father in more ways than one.
The Beast Within, which is directed by Alexander J Farrell, also stars James Cosmo, Miriam Arabella Maslin and Adam Basil.

Harington is also set to reunite with his Game of Thrones co-star Sophie Turner for upcoming gothic-horror movie The Dreadful, which will see Harington’s character forever change the life of Turner’s “in unexpected ways”.
