Paramount+ released its official trailer for 7A, the new Rosemary’s Baby prequel coming next month on the streaming channel. And judging by the trailer, the new film has enough visual references to the great 1968 original to please longtime fans with plenty of new stuff to entice newcomers.
Set in 1965, the year before Rosemary and Guy Woodhouse move into the luxury New York apartment building The Bramford, ambitious young dancer Terry Gionoffrio (Julia Garner, Ozark) is down on her luck when she’s taken in by that kindly old couple the Castevets (Dianne Wiest, Kevin McNally). And then…
Here’s the official synopsis: When fellow resident and influential Broadway producer (Jim Sturgess) offers her another chance at fame, it seems that all her dreams are finally coming true. However, after an evening she can’t fully remember, disturbing circumstances soon have her second-guessing the sacrifices she’s willing to make for her career as she realizes that something evil is living not only in Apartment 7A, but in the Bramford itself.
Additional supporting cast includes Marli Siu, Andrew Buchan, Rosy McEwen and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith.
