It’s unclear what lingering questions about season seven of Love Is Blind will be answered in Wednesday’s upcoming reunion special, as the preview trailer shows one male cast member of the reality dating show declaring he doesn’t owe anyone an explanation for the stories that have circulated about him on social media in the days since episodes first began airing on Netflix on Oct. 2. But the producers appear to have given it their best attempt, bringing together all of the couples who made it out of the pods together following a proposal, including a pair whose journey immediately came to an end after their reveal.
Love Is Blind hosts and married couple Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey will again host the special set to air on Netflix on Oct 30 which is when audiences will learn the latest relationship statuses of the group of Washington D.C. romantic hopefuls who appeared on the most recent season. Only two of the seven couples who professed to have found love in the pods made it to their wedding reception: Taylor and Garrett and Ashley and Tyler. However, the latter pair fell out of the audience’s good graces when it was revealed in episode nine that Tyler was the father of three children— a fact he hid from his fiancée up until that point under the guise that he was simply a sperm donor to a lesbian couple who wanted to conceive. The mother of those children has since spoken out on social media describing their relationship prior to his appearance on Love Is Blind as a hands-on co-parenting arrangement.
“I don’t owe anyone an explanation but Ashley,” Tyler can be seen saying in the reunion trailer. He and Ashley’s current marital status is unknown, but she appears to be standing by the man she said yes to at the altar, saying in the trailer, “Who has better insight on what’s going on, social media or me?”
Social media, or rather internet fame, appears to be a pain point for another romantic pair, with a snippet showing Hannah accusing her former fiancé Nick of being on the show for disingenuous reasons. “He wants to be the most famous person ever on Love Is Blind,” she says of Nick’s intentions. “I was like, ‘Oh OK. It all makes sense now.’ ”
The trailer also shows Monica reuniting with Stephen who was caught sending sexually explicit texts to another woman facilitating their split early in the season; Ramses and Marissa discussing the demise of their relationship, with her mother telling her daughter’s former partner, “You broke her,” when he ended their engagement in the finale episode; Alexandra and Tim, who told his former fiancée he never wanted to see her again; and Brittany and Leo who didn’t make it past the pod reveal after she declared she wasn’t ready to say I love you.
Love Is Blind: The Reunion will air on Oct. 30 on Netflix at 6 p.m. PT /9 p.m. ET. Watch the trailer for the special in the video below.
