Remember when Chris Evans’ wife, Alba Baptista, was out there in Netflix’s Warrior Nun fighting demons with divine superpowers? Well, forget that. Because in Borderline, she seems to be fighting sanity itself. The trailer for her upcoming horror-comedy is giving Gone Girl meets American Psycho—only this time, it’s unhinged and ridiculously fun.

Starring Samara Weaving as a kidnapped pop star and Ray Nicholson as the delusional sociopath who wants to marry her, the film introduces Alba Baptista as Penny—a mental asylum escapee and friend of Nicholson’s character. Now guess what? She’s not just tagging along—she’s helping him by going full psycho mode!
Chris Evans watch out, Alba Baptista turned into a psychopath in Borderline
Chris Evans might have survived Thanos, but can he survive his wife’s Borderline character? That’s the real question. Because, Alba Baptista, best known for kicking supernatural butt in Warrior Nun, has ditched her heavenly powers and gone full psycho in her upcoming horror comedy, Borderline.
Appearing alongside Samara Weaving as a pop star, who’s held hostage by a deranged mental asylum escapee Duerson (played by Ray Nicholson), Alba Baptista plays the role of Penny. She probably escaped the same mental asylum alongside Duerson, and now she isn’t just along for the ride. She’s actively helping in the madness.
Well, by helping, we mean she’s out there making people puke by shoving a torch in their mouth while simultaneously electrocuting them. Yup. This is not your sweet Ava Silva anymore. It looks like she took all that warrior energy and went completely maniac. And now, after watching the trailer we just hope Chris Evans is watching his mouth at home.

Alba Baptista has officially shown the world what she’s capable of. And let’s be honest, if she can kill demons in the Netflix show and take down innocent bystanders with a flashlight and a taser in the upcoming movie, Cap might just want to sleep with one eye open.
The internet can’t get enough of Alba Baptista in the upcoming horror comedy

The moment the Borderline trailer dropped, the internet lost it. Fans who knew Alba Baptista as the badass yet lovable Ava Silva from Warrior Nun were not ready for this level of chaos. One minute she appeared fighting the forces of evil, the next she’s electrocuting random people and laughing about it. Talk about range!
This might just be the wildest transformation we’ve seen from Alba Baptista yet, and with her impeccable talent for balancing intensity with humor, Borderline is shaping up to be an absolute blast. If the trailer is anything to go by, this movie will have us gasping, laughing, and never looking at a flashlight the same way again.
Borderline is scheduled to be released on 14 March 2025.
