Millions of Americans will watch the Super Bowl on Sunday to take in the big game and entertainment, but will also watch the ad breaks in anticipation to catch movie trailers for some of the biggest blockbusters this year.

Among those eagerly awaited drops include the trailer for the sixth installment in the “Jurassic” universe, “Jurassic Park Rebirth,” with a star-studded cast including Scarlett Johanson, and the likely air spot for “Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning,” which could be the last time Tom Cruise plays out his role as adventurer/agent Ethan Hunt.

This year, a 30-second spot on Fox during the Super Bowl will cost studios $7.5 to $8 million before an audience that last year reached nearly 124 million viewers, according to Deadline. But the Super Bowl is said to translate into big box office, according to cinema writers, so some motion picture studios are hoping to bank on it.

Last year, motion picture studios that dropped trailers on Super Bowl included Universal Picture’s “Wicked” and Disney’s “Deadpool & Wolverine,” both of which had highly successful runs. It’s likely Disney, Paramount and Universal will be among the studios dropping dough for Super Bowl spots, according to Deadline.

See below what movie trailers are expected to drop on Super Bowl, some that might and others that may have already dropped before the big game, but whose presence online may not have hit the masses until it airs on primetime.

‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ trailer drops before Super Bowl

The “Jurassic Era” has come roaring back to life with a seventh film set to hit theaters on July 2, 2025.

Titled “Jurassic World Rebirth,” the upcoming blockbuster still bears the “Jurassic” name, but takes place five years after the events of “Jurassic World Dominion” where a team that includes missions specialist Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali race to an island where the “worst of the worst” dinosaurs have been left behind, according to the official website.

Universal Pictures released the promo for the dino film on Wednesday, which you can view here. Expect to see the trailer make its television debut during the Super Bowl.

Fan of the original film? A version of the original Jurassic Park theme song can be heard in the trailer, and “Jurassic Park Rebirth” director, Gareth Edwards, worked with a script from Jurassic Park’s original screenwriter, David Koepp.

‘Mission: Impossible – The Reckoning’

Paramount will likely air a spot for “Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning,” which may be Tom Cruise’s last hurrah as daredevil agent Ethan Hunt. The film is set to hit theaters on May 23 and the cast includes mainstays Ving Rhymes and Simon Pegg alongside newcomers Katy O’Brian, Nick Offerman, Tramell Tillman and Hannah Waddingham. Possible Super Bowl 59 trailers ‘Snow White,’ ‘Lilo & Stitch,’ ‘Thunderbolts*’

While it’ll likely come as a surprise on Super Bowl what other movie trailers will drop for the first time — or perhaps they may make their television debut — several media outlets including Deadline and Variety say they can count on a few.

Disney, which raked in $2.2 billion in the box office last year, has a large presence during Super Bowl and may show off clips for the upcoming “Snow White,” a live-action reimagining of the 1937 film starring New Jersey’s Rachel Zegler; “Lilo & Stitch,” another live-action remake that heads to theaters on May 23; and Pixar’s “Elio,” dropping in theaters on June 13.

Universal, which took in $1.88 billion at the box office last year, may drop trailers for the live-action take of “How to Train Your Dragon,” dropping in theaters on June 13, and may even release a look at “M3GAN 2.0,” dropping on June 27 in theaters.

The buzz is that Paramount will drop a trailer for the Jack Quaid comedy thriller “Novocaine,” which will drop in theaters on March 14. A trailer for “Smurfs,” slated to hit theaters on July 18, may also be teased before, during or after the Super Bowl. The animated musical stars Rihanna — who unveiled a 17-second teaser on her Instagram page on Wednesday, perhaps pointing to a full trailer soon.

As for Marvel Studios movies, clips for “Captain America: Brave New World” (Feb. 14) and “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” (July 25) will likely have airtime, with the studio potentially launching a first look at a big summer movie as well. Last year, that film was “Deadpool & Wolverine,” which shattered records for the highest R-rated opening of all time, both domestically and worldwide.

The Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs will play for the NFL Championship in Super Bowl 59 on Sunday, Feb. 9. Kickoff off is at 6:30 p.m.
