Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar Will Be Bollywood’s Longest Film In Decades With THIS Runtime? Know Here | Bollywood News

The process of acquiring the censor certificate has begun, as per a report.
Dhurandhar will be out in December.
Aditya Dhar’s upcoming film, Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, has created quite a buzz right from the moment it was announced. While the character posters and trailer have created immense excitement surrounding the project, the latest buzz about the film’s run time has only added to this excitement.
A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Dhurandhar Part 1’s length is said to be around 3 hours and 32 minutes. The final run time has been kept under wraps. But it’s expected to be close to 3.5 hours long. The process of acquiring the censor certificate has begun. Once the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) passes the film in a few days from now, the exact run time will be known.” An official confirmation is awaited.
“Dhurandhar tells a vast story, and hence the lengthy run time. Director Aditya Dhar is an expert storyteller. Look at Uri: The Surgical Strike or his productions like Article 370, Dhoom Dhaam and the recently-released Baramulla. He always ensures that there’s a lot happening in his films and that the goings-on don’t feel stretched. Dhurandhar’s storytelling will be on the same lines. There would be so much happening that the audience would be gripped from start to finish,” the source also mentioned.
If this report is to be believed, Dhurandhar will be the longest film in Bollywood in almost 17 years. The longest film since then is Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starter Jodhaa Akbar. The film was released in 2008 with a run time of 3 hours and 34 minutes. Before 2008, LOC Kargil (2003; 4 hours and 7 minutes), Lagaan (2001; 3 hours and 44 minutes), Salaam-E-Ishq (2007; 3 hours and 36 minutes), and Mohabbatein (2000; 3 hours and 35 minutes) had crossed the 3-hour mark.
If another report by Bollywood Hungama is to be believed, the makers of Dhurandhar decided to make the Ranveer Singh starrer a two-part movie in October this year after the director, Aditya Dhar, realised that it was not possible to fit in the entire footage and plots in just one movie. While the first movie will hit theatres on December 5, the second part is likely to release in the first half of 2026.
