The recently released film Love in Vietnam starring Shantanu Maheshwari and Avneet Kaur, has achieved a groundbreaking milestone by bagging two major awards at the 2025 Seoul Global Movie Awards in Korea. This historic win marks the first time an Indian film has clinched two honors at the prestigious event, cementing its place in global cinema.

The film, which earlier captivated audiences at the DaNang Asian Film Festival in Vietnam, recently had a special screening for Korean viewers. The Seoul triumph has added a glittering feather to its cap, making the journey from India to Vietnam to Korea truly remarkable.

Sharing his excitement, Shantanu said, “It was such an unbelievable moment to witness Love in Vietnam picking up not just one, but two awards at the Seoul Global Movie Awards. This is a huge milestone! As it’s the very first time an Indian film has won two awards there. That made our victory feel even more special, and honestly, it was surreal.”

The actor also expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming response from Korean audiences, “Meeting so many incredible Korean stars and veteran actors in the audience was a dream come true. And just stepping onto that stage, getting recognized internationally for our film, felt like a beautiful dream I didn’t want to wake up from. I’m truly grateful to see the film being accepted so well on such respected International platforms.”

He further added, “It was so touching to see the Korean audience’s enthusiasm. They were genuinely excited about watching the film on its release there. I want to thank Rahhat sir for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to be a part of this film. I missed the rest of our team, especially those who couldn’t be there. This entire experience in Seoul has been unforgettable.”

Directed by Rahat Shah Kazmi, Love in Vietnam is an Indian-Vietnamese romantic drama based on the classic novel Madonna in a Fur Coat. The film stars Shantanu Maheshwari, Avneet Kaur, and Khả Ngân, alongside legendary actors Raj Babbar, Farida Jalal, and Gulshan Grover in pivotal roles. Shot extensively in Vietnam, the film was released on September 12, 2025, and has since garnered international acclaim.

With its double win at the Seoul Global Movie Awards, Love in Vietnam has not only elevated Shantanu Maheshwari’s global profile but also set a new benchmark for Indian films on international platforms.
