The first script draft has been done, which is a massive leap from the long-dormant adaptation. Simu has already shown his passion for this project and we may get some exciting surprises in the future as well.
In the post, we can also see that the writer’s name was hidden. Speculation also suggests that it might be a new addition or director.
Previously, Donnie Yen of Rogue One fame also wanted to bring this project to life, but nothing happened after that.
Seeing how the first draft of the script has been completed and we might see the casting announcement soon, we can say that the Sleeping Dogs movie is heading in a good direction.
