Snow White soundtrack – which songs are in the 2025 live-action remake?
Disney’s Snow White turns the story into more of a musical than the 1937 groundbreaking animation, but doesn’t forget its roots.
Whether you’ve already seen the movie or just want to check out the soundtrack before seeing it this weekend, you can listen to it right now on Amazon Music (check out how to get a free trial here) and other streaming services.
The remake includes new songs written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the duo behind the likes of The Greatest Showman and Dear Evan Hansen. They’ve got Disney experience too, having written two new songs for the Aladdin remake.
But which songs can you expect to hear from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in the new movie? Here’s your definitive guide to the Snow White remake soundtrack.
Which classic Snow White songs are in the new movie?
You’ll get to hear ‘Heigh-Ho’, ‘Whistle While You Work’ and ‘The Silly Song’ in the Snow White remake, although die-hard fans will also be able to spot an instrumental nod to ‘Someday My Prince Will Come’.
They’re not exactly the same songs you remember though. ‘The Silly Song’ is a much shorter version compared to the original, while ‘Heigh-Ho’ and ‘Whistle While You Work’ have updated lyrics and expansions.
Paul noted in the production notes that they went back to “study the original score” to come up with their new take on the songs. But the duo also tried to ensure that you wouldn’t necessarily notice the changes and focus on the characters.
“Our goal was to be as invisible as possible in the writing process. We want the audience to believe that these lyrics are coming directly out of the characters’ mouths so that you’re not thinking about who wrote it,” said Pasek.
Snow White remake soundtrack: Full list of songs
You’ve likely already heard the main new song of the Snow White remake, ‘Waiting on a Wish’ which is this movie’s classic ‘I Want’ song.
“It was delicious to get to write ‘Waiting on a Wish’. There was so much joy, but also the challenge as songwriters to create something that lived alongside the great songs that existed from the animated film,” explained Paul.
However, that’s far from the only new song written for the Snow White remake, which also includes a villain song for the Evil Queen (‘All Is Fair’) and a romantic duet between Snow White and new love interest Jonathan (‘A Hand Meets a Hand’).
Here’s the full list of songs in Snow White:
