New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: Train Dreams, The Family Plan 2, Sebastian Maniscalco: It Ain’t Right + More

Joel Edgerton, Felicity Jones, William H. Macy and Clifton Collins, Jr. star in Train Dreams, a period piece set at the beginning of the 20th century, based on the novella of the same name by Denis Johnson. The film is out now on Netflix. Also out today is the action-comedy The Family Plan 2 on Apple TV and Sebastian Maniscalco’s new stand-up special It Ain’t Right on Hulu (and Disney+ if you have a bundle).

New on Netflix November 21: Train Dreams

Decider’s review of Netflix’s new historical drama Train Dreams referred to the film as “an awards season frontrunner,” and you can see it for yourself now that the film is available to stream. Joel Edgerton stars as nomadic railroad worker Robert Grainier as he struggles with the harsh conditions in his line of work, while trying to balance his family life with wife Gladys (Felicity Jones) and their child.

Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Monaghan reprise their roles from 2023’s The Family Plan for the newly-released sequel, out now on Apple TV. Wahlberg plays Dan Morgan, a former assassin who’s just trying to have a nice family vacation in Europe when his past catches up to him (again). Monaghan plays his wife Jessica, and Kit Harington joins the cast for this new one as a visitor from Dan’s past.

Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco’s latest stand-up comedy special It Ain’t Right arrives to Hulu this week. This marks his seventh overall stand-up special, and it was filmed at the United Center Arena in Chicago during his recent sold-out 2025 tour.
