Well Go USA has released the first Altered trailer, previewing the upcoming dystopian sci-fi film starring Tom Felton. Altered is set to release on November 21, 2025.

“After the world is ravaged by nuclear war, the few remaining survivors turn to genetic enhancement as the way forward,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “When a small segment of the population can’t keep up, they are forced to fight back. One of these rebels is Leon (Felton), a proud, quick-witted, and talented inventor, who crafts intricate mechanical devices in his workshop that help the unmodified (aka “specials”) like himself pass as ‘genetics.’”

What happens in the Altered trailer?

The trailer follows the story of a rebuilt Earth, where society is split between the “genetics,” a group of wealthy, augmented people, and “specials,” the seemingly everyday other people. After an attack at a banquet is framed on the Specials, Leon tries to prove their innocence as a whole by going undercover as a genetic.

Alongside Felton, Altered also stars Aggy K. Adams, Daniyar Alshinov, Richard Brake, Elizaveta Bugulova, Igor Zhizhikin, and more. The film is directed by Timo Vuorensola, who also serves as a writer on the project. Along with the film’s release in select theaters, Altered is also set to release on video-on-demand services on November 21, 2025, as well.

Felton is best known for playing the role of Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movie adaptations. Following his turn in Harry Potter, he’s continued to work as an actor, appearing in a litany of projects. Most recently, Felton starred in the 2023 psychological thriller Some Other Woman. Up next, he’s set to star in the 2026 horror film They Will Kill You, alongside Zazie Beetz, Myha’la, Heather Graham, and Patricia Arquette.
