“Carry-On” and “Squid Game” Season 2 were Netflix’s most-watched movie and show, respectively, during the second half of 2024.
Despite only debuting on Dec. 5, “Carry-On” logged 137.3 million views during December, ranking as the most-watched movie on the streamer from July to December 2024, the streamer revealed in its bi-annual data dump. Viewership for “Carry-On” exceeded that of “The Union,” which was the second most-watched movie during the interval with 131.1 million views, as well as “Rebel Ridge,” which took third place with 129 million views.
Viewership for “Carry-on,” “The Union” and “Rebel Ridge” well exceeded that of other movies on the streamer, with “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F” coming in fourth place with 97.1 million views.
