GAF Shares First Look at Candace Cameron Bure’s Upcoming Christmas Movie
By Movieguide® Contributor
Great American Family is sharing a sneak peek at the upcoming Christmas movie A CHRISTMAS LESS TRAVELED, starring Cameron Candace Bure.
“The Dine and Dash Diner has a stack of mounting unpaid bills, forcing its owner, Desi (Bure), to sell her beloved, mint condition, cherry red 1964 Ford F-100, a gift from her deceased father,” a synopsis of the movie reads. “As Desi visits the vintage truck one last time, she discovers a recorded message from her dad on an old audio cassette.”
The synopsis continues, “Desi’s dad’s voice sends her and ‘Old Red’ out to retrace her family’s most memorable moments one last time. Just as the journey begins, Desi meets Greyson (Eric Johnson) who offers her a generous payment in exchange for a ride to ‘close the most important deal’ of his life. Little do Desi and Greyson realize the less traveled road will reveal more about each of them than they could have ever known.”
In a statement about A CHRISTMAS LESS TRAVELED, produced through Bure’s CandyRock Entertainment company, the actress said the movie “gently challenges us to truly embrace every moment we share with our families, friends and loved ones. It reminds us that forgiving ourselves and others is the pathway to set ourselves free.”
“Filmmakers have been inspired by road trips for as long as movies have been made,” Great American Media’s CEO and president Bill Abbott added. “In A CHRISTMAS LESS TRAVELED, viewers will go on a scenic journey with our characters to celebrate Christmas in communities and with acquaintances, treasuring every heartfelt moment of discovery or remembrance in a vintage vehicle that seems to magically know all the right places to stop.”
Bure has another project in the works with GAF: THE AINSLEY MCGREGOR MYSTERIES: A CASE FOR THE WINEMAKER.
“There’s nothing more exciting for me than being back in the cozy mystery genre,” Bure said of the upcoming movie. “Mysteries are so fun to watch and to try to solve. I hope our faithful fans and audiences fall in love with the townspeople of Sweet River, Texas and Ainsley McGregor’s keen eye for solving mysteries. In this next-level mystery series, the family dynamics and developing relationships alone should keep you coming back for more!”
The FULLER HOUSE actress also recently produced GAF’s JUST IN TIME.
Star Laura Osnes told Deseret News that she “loved” working with Bure, adding, “She is so kind and unassuming and yet has such expertise. She’s been doing this her whole life. Her wisdom and her knowledge about the entire genre and in filmmaking and in acting and in producing, she just does it all.”
“I am so in awe of her entire brand that she’s created and built and the influence that she has. And yet, to be so grounded and kind, it’s really astounding,” Osnes continued. “I loved getting to work with her. I hope we get to do many more things.”

JUST IN TIME is the fourth movie Bure has made under the “Candace Cameron Bure Presents” banner with Great American Family.
