Skins actor Jack O’Connell and The Masked Singer’s Rita Ora have joined the cast of upcoming action-thriller He Bled Neon.
Peaky Blinders‘ Joe Cole and former NFL player Marshawn Lynch are also set to star in the film, which comes from music video director Drew Kirsch (via Deadline).
He Bled Neon will centre on Cole’s character Ethan, who travels to Las Vegas to attend his estranged brother’s funeral following his mysterious death.

However, Ethan’s journey to Las Vegas takes an unexpected turn when he begins to unravel a dark web of crime, forcing him to “confront his past as he delves into the city’s gritty underworld to uncover the truth, risking everything he holds dear in the process.”
Grammy nominee Zhu will compose He Bled Neon’s score with Joseph Trapanese, who is behind the soundtrack of films such as The Greatest Showman and Straight Outta Compton.
O’Connell recently starred alongside Industry’s Marisa Abela in Sam Taylor-Johnson’s Amy Winehouse drama Back to Black, with the pair portraying Winehouse’s partner Blake Fielder-Civil and Winehouse herself, respectively.

Responding to criticism from Winehouse fans who deemed the film “tasteless” for being made so soon after the singer’s death, O’Connell said: “What is the acceptable timescale of that?
“Put it like this: if we were trying to portray her in any form of negative light, then that might be a valid point and I can understand one or two people pre-empting that. But if you talk to Sam, we’re not even calling this a biopic, it’s a celebration. I can get with that.”
The actor is next set play a villain in an untitled Ryan Coogler film for Warner Bros, which he’ll star in opposite Michael B Jordan.
Meanwhile, Ora is set to play the Queen of Hearts in Disney+’s upcoming Descendants spin-off film Descendants: Rise of Red, which will also see the return of Brandy’s 1997 Cinderella.
He Bled Neon does not yet have release date.
