A roaring classic is back on Netflix – the perfect movie to fill a cosy January weekend.
Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park, with a whopping Rotten Tomatoes score of 91%, is now available to stream on Netflix.
The infamous first film introduces viewers into the opening of the dinosaur park created by billionaire mastermind John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) and the chaotic, thrilling journey that a group of palaeontologists face as the ferocious troglodytes roam free.
Rotten Tomatoes critic Brian Biesi praises the film: ‘Jurassic Park gives everything you could ask for from a blockbuster movie.’
Another film critic, Martin Carr, highly rates the classic: ‘Jurassic Park remains timeless because the issues it chose to explore are universal.’
The 1993 movie is the first of the seven dinosaur classics in the franchise, starring Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and the late Richard Attenborough.
Netflix announced the news on X, saying: ‘Steven Spielberg’s JURASSIC PARK is now playing on @NetflixUK. And yes, that’s Jeff Goldblum serving in the 4th picture.’
The picture described shows a young Jeff Goldblum tan and topless posing for the cameras.

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is a 2024 Netflix spin-off animated series that is set after the events at Camp Cretaceous, navigating a world where dinosaurs are free to roam.
Fans of the show are eagerly waiting season 3, with @mrwells141 adding: ‘Wow…just wow! Now where is season 3?!’
There are three Jurassic Park movies in the original franchise, before it was rebooted in 2015 when Jurassic World was released, followed by three more movies under that umbrella and one in the making (which is set to star Chris Pratt).
It is argued that the CGI used in Jurassic Park paved the way for advanced special effects to be used in filmmaking. Steven Spielberg was the first director to bring dinosaurs into the 20th century.
The film deserves its almost perfect Rotten Tomatoes score as it also has an impressive locker of over 20 awards. It also became the oldest film in history to surpass $1billion (£820m) ticket sales after its 20th anniversary re-release in 2013.
