Fallout, the latest video game-turned-TV series, arrives on Prime Video this week, and it’s in good company among some other amazing new releases. Some of this weekend’s other new shows include The Sympathizer on Max, starring Robert Downey Jr. and Hoa Xuande, and a very special half-hour episode of Bluey on Disney+.

New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: The Sympathizer, Fallout, Bluey + More
This weekend, catch the series premiere of The Sympathizer on Max, the limited series about a North Vietnamese mole who moves to the U.S. after the Vietnam War to continue spying for his government. On Prime Video, you can watch the complete first season of Fallout, consisting of eight episodes. And over on Disney+, you can watch a very special episode of Bluey; it’s a whole half-hour, and features some celebrity guest voices.
Co-created and directed by Park Chan-Wook, The Sympathizer is based on the 2015 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name by Viet Thanh Nguyen. Hoa Xuande stars as the Captain, a North Vietnamese spy who infiltrates a community of South Vietnamese refugees living in America. Robert Downey Jr., who produced the series, also stars in the series in several roles. The series premieres on HBO and Max Sunday, with new episodes airing weekly.
New on Disney+ April 14: Bluey, “The Sign”
We here at Decider have a soft spot for Bluey, and not just because the show features an actual episode called “The Decider.” Sure, we watch it because our kids love it, but it’s also just the perfect show, and this weekend, longtime Bluey fans are finally getting the thing we’ve always hoped for: a super-sized episode. It may not be a full-length movie, but this Sunday, a 30-minute Bluey special called “The Sign” will be dropping on Disney+, and it brings together some of the show’s favorite guest dogs, like Uncle Rad, Frisky, Calypso, and the return of Rose Byrne as Aunt Brandy for a Heeler wedding event. If “Stumpfest” was any indication of how the Heelers party, I’m guessing this wedding will be quite the raucous affair.
New on Prime Video April 10: Fallout
Created by Westworld duo Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, Fallout is the latest TV series adapted from a beloved video game. Like The Last of Us, it follows a group of survivors after a world-altering event, this one being a nuclear disaster. Among the survivors are Lucy (Ella Purnell), a soldier named Maximus (Aaron Moten), and a bounty hunter known as the Ghoul (Walton Goggins); other co-stars include Kyle McLachlan, Zach Cherry and Sarita Choudhury. The first season is now available to binge on Prime Video.
