To kick off Women’s History Month, we had to start our list with a film that highlights the story of women in professional baseball. In Penny Marshall’s “A League of Their Own,” a group of women step up to plate and join an all-female baseball team after men head off into battle in World War II. The star-studded cast, which portrayed the real-life Rockford Peaches of Illinois, included Geena Davis, Tom Hanks, Madonna, Rosie O’Donnell and more.

Comedy icons Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy team up in a hilarious crime flick. The pair play Sugar Ray (Pryor) and his adopted son Quick (Murphy), who run a speakeasy club called Club Sugar Ray during the end of the Prohibition Era. But things go south for the businessmen when gangster Bugsy Calhoune (Michael Lerner) tries to shut down the father-son operation after finding out they’re making more money than his Pitty Pat Club.

This star-studded comedy will absolutely have you laughing all the way through it, so it’s perfect to mix in with the rest of the films in this list. In the Andy Breckman flick, a Las Vegas casino tycoon convinces six people to embark on a wild race for $2 million that’s he’s placed inside locked that’s in Silver City, New Mexico. As they group makes their dash, the tycoon and his wealthy pals bet on which rat will win the race.

“Pulp Fiction” (1994)
“Pulp Fiction” is a classic from writer-director Quentin Tarantino, and it’s sure to give you just as much thrill as it does laughs. In this action-packed, quirky tale the lives of two hitmen, their gangster boss, a struggling boxer, a master fixer and others are woven together to take viewers on one wild adventure.
“Wayne’s World” (Paramount Pictures)
“Wayne’s World” (1992)
“Wayne’s World,” the iconic “Saturday Night Live” sketch was adapted into a full-blown musical comedy. The film brings Wayne (Mike Myers) and Garth (Dana Carvey) back into the fold as the fight to save their show from Benjamin Kane, a producer who wants to take it to commercial TV.

“Pan’s Labyrinth” (2006)
Guillermo del Toro’s “Pan’s Labyrinth,” follows the journey of an 11-year-old girl named Ofelia (Ivana Baquero) who is drawn into a magical world where mythical beings live. In the outside real world, it’s 1944 in Nazi-held Europe and Ofelia’s sadist stepfather has been ordered to seek out rebels in a remote forest.

In David Lynch’s thriller “Mulholland Drive,” a woman’s memory is completely flushed after a car crash. When she takes refuge in a Los Angeles apartment, a female tenant named Betty (Naomi Watts), who traveled from the Midwest with dreams of becoming an actress, helps track down the woman’s origins in hopes learning her true identity.
