Hallmark Channel seems to be all about reunions this holiday season. They previously announced a new Christmas movie with Lacey Chabert and Andrew Walker. The two starred together once before in 2018’s My Secret Valentine. Now, two other fan-favorite Hallmark stars are reuniting, and boy, does it sure feel good. Erin Krakow and Tyler Hynes, who starred together in 2021’s It Was Always You reunite again for the holiday movie, Christmas Above the Clouds.

What is Christmas Above the Clouds about?

When a workaholic CEO (Krakow) tries to skip Christmas by flying to Australia, she’s in for the flight of her life. Haunted by her past, present, and future, she’s forced to confront the choices that led to her success yet left her flying solo. With the help of three quirky spirits and a surprise reunion with her ex (Hynes), she might just rediscover the magic of Christmas — and the love she thought she’d lost.

Who’s in the cast of Christmas Above the Clouds?

Erin Krakow (Ella)

For over ten seasons, Krakow has led the cast of When Calls the Heart, Hallmark Channel’s longest-running original series. The cast is currently in production on season 13 of the show. Krakow has starred in several Hallmark films, including The Wedding Cottage, It Was Always You, and the Finding Father Christmas trilogy of movies. She previously appeared on Army Wives, NCIS, and Castle.

Tyler Hynes (Jake)

Tyler Hynes quickly became a viewer fave and has starred in over a dozen movies for the network, including Shifting Gears, A Picture of Her, and, most recently, The Groomsmen trilogy of movies on Hallmark+. His other credits include Letterkenny, Roadhouse Romance, and UnREAL.

What is the release date for Christmas Above the Clouds?

Christmas Above the Clouds will premiere on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 8 p.m. on Hallmark Channel and will be available to stream on Hallmark+ the next day.
