‘Monkey Man’: Universal Pictures releases trailer, know about release date and where you can watch it

Dev Patel, who made his acting debut with Oscar-winning ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ is ready with his directorial debut ‘Monkey Man‘, a brutal and bloody action movie. Inspired by the legend of Hanuman, the action thriller stars Patel as Kid, a young man who ekes out a meager living in an underground fight club wearing a gorilla mask. ‘Monkey Man’ received a rating for “strong bloody violence throughout, language throughout, and drug use.”

Trailer

Universal Pictures released the second trailer for ‘Monkey Man’ on March 21. The three-minute trailer contains a Jay-Z track that accompanied the first trailer with Phil Collins’s “In the Air Tonight.”

Release Date

According to ‘Collider’, ‘Universal Pictures’ will release ‘Monkey Man’ on April 5. The action thriller made its world premiere on March 11, 2024, at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. It joined an impressive lineup of movies like ‘The Fall Guy’, ‘Road House’, ‘The Idea of You’, and ‘Y2K’.

‘Monkey Man’ will have to face competition from horror prequel ‘The First Omen’ from the Disney-owned 20th Century Studios.

Streaming

Dev Patel-directed action film may be made available to stream on Peacock after its theatrical release. But it is yet to be confirmed officially.
