Just as the critically acclaimed eerie fishing adventure DREDGE celebrated its one-year anniversary, Black Salt Games and Story Kitchen have announced that they will adapt the game into a live-action movie.

In DREDGE, players are invited to take the role of a fisherman and his boat, sell their catch to learn more about each area’s troubled past from the locals and explore a mysterious archipelago to discover why some things are best left forgotten. The game was initially released in March 2023 and sold over one million copies by October, followed by the release of The Pale Reach DLC in November with the second expansion The Iron Rig scheduled to release this year.
