The dominance of social media has completely changed the promotional tactics for films.
Film titles are now revealed as soon as the writer begins drafting the script, but occasionally, the narratives fail to meet expectations, resulting in either the films getting shelved or being infinitely postponed.

1. Ashwatthama
Shahid Kapoor recently announced Ashwatthama: The Saga Continues, which will be produced by Pooja Entertainment.
But this is not the first film announcement with this title.
Before Pooja Entertainment, RSVP Movies had announced Ashwatthama, starring Vicky Kaushal, which was touted to be a futuristic sci-fi action saga directed by Aditya Dhar, who had previously directed Uri: The Surgical Strike.
According to the report, the project was shelved due to Vicky’s current star power and inability to pull mass audiences into theatres.
2. Takht
Dharma announced this period drama with a massive cast, including Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles, with the release date!
But due to some unknown reason, there is no development around this project to date.
3. Battle Of Saragirhi
Randeep Hooda prepared for this epic action drama based on the famous battle of Saragirhi for many years, but then Akshay Kumar announced a film titled ‘Kesari’ on the same subject.
The Battle Of Saragirhi was terminated after the box office success of Kesari.
4. Baiju Bawra
This Sanjay Leela Bhansali period drama reportedly starred Ranveer Singh in the lead role and was based on the music extraordinaire Baiju Bawra, who challenged Taan Sen for a duel in Akbar’s court.
According to numerous reports, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ranveer Singh have been busy with their respective projects, such as Heeramandi, Singham Again.
It looks like Baiju Bawra will not see the light of day anytime soon.
5. Inshallah
This movie would have marked a much-anticipated collaboration between Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan.
Alia Bhatt was also reported to be involved in this project but there has been complete silence around this project.
6. The Kishore Kumar Biopic
Ranbir Kapoor and Anurag Basu have been talking about this project since Tamasha’s promotional events but according to reports, this film is still in the queue due to the legal issues with Kishore Kumar’s family.
7. Jee Le Zara
This female-centric film starring Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif was supposed to add another feather to Farhan Akhtar’s directorial cap, but it was shelved due to some unknown reason.
8. Munna Bhai Chale Amerika
After the immense success of the Munna Bhai franchise, Raju Hirani was working on its upcoming installment, titled, Munna Bhai Chale Amerika, which had to stop after Sanjay Dutt’s conviction in the Arm’s act and the denial of his visa.
