This Bollywood Star Has Done 10 Films In Last 3 Years, Only 2 Were Hits

There is one Bollywood actor who is counted among top five superstars of Indian cinema. He has been a leading actor in the Hindi film industry for over 30 years. The superstar was at the peak of his career until 2019, when he delivered 12 hits in a row. After the pandemic, his career went downhill. We are talking about Akshay Kumar. Since his first post-pandemic release, Bell Bottom in 2021 to his latest film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in 2024, Akshay has acted in 13 films, out of which three (Laxmii, Atrangi Re and Cuttputlli) were released as OTT films, while the remaining 10 films were released theatrically. Out of his 10 films, only two became box office hits and eight became major failures.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was Akshay’s biggest film in terms of budget, which is reportedly Rs 350 crore. The film, starring Tiger Shroff in the lead role, is expected to collect Rs 75 crore in India and over Rs 100 crore worldwide.

I will keep doing… something that is social, something that is good, something in comedy, in action.”
