KPop Demon Hunters returns to UK cinemas for special Halloween sing-along screenings
It could be the perfect activity to end the half-term
It’s Halloween this weekend, and plenty of youngsters are sure to be taking costume inspiration from the hit animated Netflix film, KPop Demon Hunters.
The film was released back in July, and has already become the most-watched movie of all time on Netflix, with more than 236 million views.
And if your little ones are still belting out ‘Golden’ and ‘What It Sounds Like’ at the top of their lungs, why not let them do so with a whole cinema full of other HUNTR/X fans this weekend?
That’s right, the global phenomenon is back on the big screen for a limited time only this weekend, but this time it is a sing-along version.
KPop Demon Hunters is returning to Vue, Odeon, and Cineworld Cinemas this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (October 31-November 2). There will be a handful of screenings each day, with Cineworld showing the sing-along movie for one day only, on Friday, October 31.
The film follows best friends Rumi, Mira and Zoey, who together make up K-pop girl group, HUNTR/X. And when they’re not rolling out catchy chart-toppers and selling out stadium shows, they’re leading double lives as demon hunters, using their songs to help seal the Honmoon, an invisible barrier to the Underworld.
The soundtrack, which features original songs from prominent K-pop producers, has gone on to earn platinum status, making it the cultural smash of the year. In fact, HUNTR/X became the first K-pop artist ever to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with the film’s lead track, ‘Golden’.
So, what better way to celebrate the film of the year than getting dressed up in your demon-hunting gear (costumes are encouraged!) and helping to seal the Honmoon this weekend with your best singing voices?
And even better, you can go as a family of five to a screening at Vue for just £22 – that’s only £4.40 per person. Usually costing £34.95 for a group of five, Groupon has slashed 37% off a ticket bundle at 90 Vue locations around the UK, only when you book online.
The deal also applies to smaller groups of two, with a pair of cinema tickets at Vue now 32% off, down from £13.98 to just £9.50 – or £4.75 each.
Meanwhile, if Cineworld is your nearest cinema, Wowcher has an October half-term deal that’s valid until November 14 at any one of 87 Cineworld locations. You can get two cinema tickets, which would normally cost £31.98, for only £9.99. Shop the deal here.
