Richard Madden’s new movie has received an official release date.
Killer Heat is based on Jo Nesbø’s short story The Jealousy Man, which was released in 2021. The Amazon Studios adaptation will see Madden in a dual role, as he portrays two twin brothers.
The movie is set on a Greek island and follows twins (played by Madden) who are caught up in a violent love triangle. The plot thickens when a detective, known as The Jealousy Man (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), is called in to investigate the case.
Killer Heat is set to be released on September 26, on Amazon’s streaming service Prime Video.

Directed by filmmaker Philippe Lacôte, the movie will also star Shailene Woodley. Meanwhile, House of Gucci writer Roberto Bentivegna and Bridge of Spies’ Matt Charman were in charge of developing the script.
Madden most recently starred opposite Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the spy-thriller series Citadel.
The pair play elite agents Nadia Sinh (Chopra Jonas) and Mason Kane (Madden), who have had their memories wiped after the fall of their agency Citadel.

After hiding away with their new lives, they’re brought back into the world of espionage for a global mission. The duo navigate their secretive relationship whilst trying to stop a new world order being established.
A second season of the show was confirmed in 2023, with Madden and Chopra Jonas set to reprise their roles. Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville will also be returning for season 2.
Elsewhere, the Italian spin-off Citadel: Diana recently unveiled a first-look trailer, alongside a confirmed release date.
Killer Heat will be released on September 26 on Prime Video. Citadel is available to stream on Prime Video. Citadel: Diana will premiere on Prime Video on October 10.
