Karan Johar is known to be one of the most versatile directors of Bollywood. Out of his many other movies, one movie that we love immensely is ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Other than the story of the movie, the album literally stole our hearts and are as evergreen as ever. However, do you know that there are few songs from the movie that come with a fun fact? Well, here is something you do not know about ‘Bole Chudiyan’ and ‘Shava Shava’ among others.

1. Bole Chudiyan (Kavita Krishnamurti, Alka Yagnik, Sonu Nigam, Udit Narayan and Amit Kumar)

The song starred the entire star cast of the movie and this became every girl’s go-to wedding song. But did you know that the director of the movie, Karan Johar, was paranoid right before the shoot of this song? Karan Johar was so stressed during the shoot of “Bole Chudiyan” that he fainted due to dehydration. He eventually ended up giving instructions on his walkie-talkie from a bed for the day.

2. Say Shava Shava (Alka Yagnik, Sunidhi Chauhan, Udit Narayan, Sudesh Bhonsle, Aadesh Shrivastava, Amitabh Bachchan)

The song also starred Rani Mukerji. This party song is just as unique. But here is a fun fact. Amitabh Bachchan took 16 days to record “Shava Shava”.

3. You Are My Soniya (Alka Yagnik and Sonu Nigam)

Starring Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, the song was sung by Alka Yagnik and Sonu Nigam. The production team flew 50 dancers from London to Mumbai to shoot “You Are My Soniya”.

4. Suraj Hua Maddham (Alka Yagnik, Sonu Nigam)

Can you imagine our ‘K3G’ without ‘Suraj Hua Maddham’? Apparently not. But it was about to happen. “Suraj Hua Maddham” almost didn’t make it into the movie. Sandesh Shandilya wanted to make a full album and not be a guest composer, but Johar requested for the song to be in the film. Impressed by his sincerity, Shandilya let him have the composition. Well, I cannot imagine a world where there is not ‘Suraj Hua Maddham’.
